Announcement for WHFC’s Community Advisory Board

WHFC is a community driven radio station that is student and volunteer focused and operates as an outreach service of Harford Community College. We teach, train and entertain by providing a hands-on learning experience in radio communication, and instill valuable skills that are transferable and produce a diverse array of information, entertainment, and marketing for our listeners.

In June of 2021, WHFC re-opened its doors after the pandemic. It was the beginning of the WHFC Student Learning Lab, where any Harford Community College student or community volunteer can gain knowledge about radio, podcasting and more.

The response was tremendous. WHFC staff now offer their guidance and support to over 40 dedicated people. Even the students who graduated in May of 2022 have asked to stay on and be part of the station.

WHFC continues to grow, but we seek the guidance and support of the larger community. This will be the second iteration of a WHFC Community Advisory Board, and your voice will make a difference.

If you are interested or have questions about it, please reach out to WHFC’s Station Coordinator Terry Trouyet at ttrouyet@harford.edu or (443) 412-2442.
